Register for an event by sending one email

Every event gets a registration address. On the event page, "Or register by sending one email" opens the guest's own email app with the address, a subject and a line filled in. They press send; the confirmation answers their own message with their personal page. Each way in (a post, a newsletter, a flyer) has its own version of the address, so every registration says where it came from.

Step by step

What happens

  1. 1

    An address for every event

Promote shows the event's registration address next to its link, and each way in has its own version of it.

  2. 2

One tap on the event page

Instead of the form, the guest taps "Or register by sending one email". Their own email app opens with everything filled in.

  3. 3

    They press send

They can add a line for the host first. That line is kept as what they hope to get out of it.

  4. 4

    The confirmation answers their message

Seconds later the reply arrives in the same thread, with the time, the place and a link to their page: ticket, calendar file, questions for the host and their own link to bring someone.

  5. 5

On the host's list, with where they came from

Registrants shows them straight away with the way in they used, and the ways in table counts registrations for each.

Questions

About this demo

Does the guest need an account?

No. Sending the email is the registration. Their page link comes in the reply; nobody is registered without their own tap or their own email.

What if their email app doesn't open?

The address is shown on the page and on QR codes, so they can type it, scan it, or use the form instead. Any email to the address registers the sender.

Can they cancel?

Yes: reply "cancel" to the confirmation, or press "I can't make it" on their page.

Used for: Webinar promotion, Meetups with QR sign-up, B2B workshops, Conference partner tracking
